Our Advanced Diploma of Multimedia:
Interactive Media focuses
on the design and creation of interactive projects including
web sites, installations, CD-ROMs, DVDs and other forms of multimedia.
Interactive Media students learn a broad range of software including Flash, Director, Lightwave, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks, Cold Fusion, Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro and After Effects. Classes are hands-on and are taught by experts in their fields.
Our course also covers project production and management, industry practice, design and writing for multimedia. Plus students have the chance to take part in specialist workshops, guest lectures and other activities.
The quality of our course has been reflected in the large number of national multimedia awards won by our students including multiple ATOM and AIMIA awards.
The Interactive Media stream is taught in both our City-Flinders and St Albans facilities, and leads directly to a Bachelor of Arts course in Multimedia at Victoria University.

Computer Games Development
Our Advanced Diploma of Multimedia: Computer Games Development focuses on the design and creation of computer games. Students plan, design and make their own game worlds, levels and characters using fast new PCs and industry-standard 3D/animation software, games engines, 3D scanners and graphics software.
Software taught includes 3D Studio Max, Maya, 3D Mapping and Texturing software, After Effects, Flash, Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator and the Unreal and Halflife games engines. Classes are taught by industry experts who live and breathe computer games .
This course is taught in our brand-new City-Flinders facility, and is a dual qualification with the Bachelor of Arts course in Games Development at Victoria University. After completing the Advanced Diploma, students complete one more year in the Faculty of Arts to earn their degree.

Certificate IV in
Multimedia
Our Certificate IV in Multimedia course provides multimedia training for people to produce, edit, or test multimedia products such as animations, graphics, games, CD-ROMs and interfaces.
Like our Advanced Diploma courses, students are exposed to a broad range of software including Flash, Lightwave, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Cold Fusion and Final Cut Pro. Classes are hands-on and are taught by experts in their field.
This course leads directly to the Advanced Diploma courses, including the awarding of credits for some units taken.

What is the foundation of our courses?
Both streams of the Advanced Diploma
of Multimedia (CUF60501)
and the Certificate IV in Multimedia (CUF40801) consist of approved
industry standard Units of Competency selected from the Film,
Television, Radio, Multimedia Industry Training Package (CUF01).
